Alex Trebek, the long-time host of the popular American television quiz show “Jeopardy,” suffered a minor heart attack after
getting his first wrong answer since the show started in 1984.
“The whole dang audience gasped after he done it wrong.” Said Merle Swellin, a 63 year old camera tech at the show.
According to audience reports, Mr. Trebek coyly snickered at what seemed to be an easy answer derived from the Technology category, and when he turned the card over, his face flushed, something popped, and he hit the floor.
The contests are quoted as hearing, “I can’t believe it.” “What’s going on? “and, “This is impossible!”
The answer was deemed a simple one by the contestants, as they correctly answered, “Google.” Alex apparently, insisted that they were wrong, and the correct answer was, ‘The Google.” He then checked with the judges, turned his card over, fired the nearest intern and collapsed.
