500,000+ visitors and counting.
iThink that is the mark of a good blog. A blog iSimply started as a response to a situation… it has spawned so much more and all of it for no cost to me at all. Except my time, energy and combination of the two to make the RSS subscribers happy. And speaking of happy, iAm officially happy to have reached 500,000 visitors to the web pages of Thunk Different.
Thank you readers, WordPress, Apple, the Wall Street Journal, IBM, and everyone else who has published my work and made this possible. iAm humbled, iThunk none of this was possible and wouldn’t have been with out the web & the people the make it possible… you.

(1) To write a blog entry. Blogs (definition #2 below) became so popular that the noun was turned into a verb; for example, “I’ll blog about that subject next month.” (2) (WeBLOG) A Web site that contains dated text entries in reverse chronological order (most recent first) about a particular topic. Blogs serve many purposes from online newsletters to personal journals to “ranting and raving.” They can be written by one person or a group of contributors. Entries contain commentary and links to other Web sites, and images as well as a search facility may be included. Blogs may also contain video (see vlog). “Image used with permission of GeekCulture.com”Read more media from 2.0 WEBlogs Read the rest of this entry » |

If you are a business professional, or just want to rock that mac 24/7. You will need a verizon wireless card, or a usb card. I’d go for the USB port antenna even if the urge to use your mac book pro port is tempting, it’s best left for other ideas – USB 2.0, SATA, SETI communication, etc.
So with Verizon you do get a kick ass network, you really do. I’m sure some of you heard about the 700 Mhz bandwidth deal going on that Verizon pretty much cleaned house in, but that is a ways off, for now they still have the bets US coverage for wireless broadband, and the only really quality hook up for mac.
So what do you get and how do you get it?
1. Contract? Yes. 1 or two years with a $175.00 cancellation fee minus $5.00 off for every month you are on the plan
2. Activation? Yes. Even if you have a Verizon cell phone, the fee is usually $35.00
3. Monthly Cost? $59.00 plus taxes. Sure, there is a small megabyte plan, but that defeats the purpose unless you are a granny/gramps that just needs to check email, doesn’t watch you tube, uses quicktime, itunes, or a comparable torrent service.
4. What are the limitations?
What most people want to know is, “What Does 5 Gigabytes Get Me?” Read the rest of this entry »

Imagine if you could, Google… Everything.
We tried just that with Googleverything.com on the 20% weblogs network. And you know, for as big as google is, to cover it all the time, just.. sucks.
It moves, it shakes, what do you want? Follow it yourself, google google. get it?
So while the move of Google, sex, and pandora’s boz made the leap, googleverything didn’t make the cut. Not to say that it won’t someday, just not now, or today.
Thanks for checking it out however, find out more about Googleverything & 20% weblogs

Here is a nice summary of the old 1.0 world models vs. the new 2.0 web model. i’M all for the new 2.0 ways of doing things, its much more up to the individual, unless you want to embed most things in WordPress tho, then you have to contact the design team or figure out the html/css code yourself, jenkies!
