Dear Real Steve Jobs… Thank you for iLife ’08.

August 8, 2007

red buttons Dear Real Steve Jobs,

Thank you. The iLife ’08 released today looks to be the most revolutionary media software package on earth. The iMacs… incredible, .Mac – Thank god, Numbers – expected, but thanks. All is all, iLife ’08 fills in the gaps that the Leopard keynote was missing, and then some. iMovie… who is that guy who simply came up with this idea, the idea that changed media forever? I want to buy him a gift on Facebook, and then buy him a real one, doesn’t matter what it is, a beer, candy, a rainbow, whatever he wants. He deserves it. He deserves to go on more vacations. Send him to india, the pyramids, the wall, stonehenge. I’m interested to see what he comes up with. iThink we all are.

Would the Real Fake Steve Jobs please stand up?

August 6, 2007

fsj ?Outed Forbes editor, Dan Lyons, is the real fake Steve Jobs. He had us all fooled! iThought for sure it was written by the Edge from U2, but I’ve been wrong before. You know all those pedals, zoo tv, discotheque, disdain for bono… i kind of still think it is, Dan Lyons is a good cover though. MORE.

iMean, the timing is just too good no? Dan is the perfect fall guy. Just check him out on Forbes daily now, i Can’t imagine that guy calling people, a “frigtard.” But then again i still believe the blog is written by the Edge. Kidding. Nice blog Dan and thanks for posting my posts back before you were “Famous.”

Real Fake Post.

15,000 page views for the 100th post.

June 8, 2007

Hi readers,

Thanks for keeping up to date with Apple, Inc. & Things i Think. This is the 100th post for Thunk Different since we began posting on April 20th, 2007. We also reached over 15,000 views yesterday, added Digg, del.icio,us,bob thunk FARK, newsvine, and other RSS readers to the base of every posting starting yesterday. If you go back and check you will see a few more than that b/c i added them on popular posts.

What has ThunkDifferent done thus far?

Gotten the word out. The amount of news that Apple & readers like you come up with is astounding. It is so much fun to write about and thanks for the questions, i always love to get fan mail. i’m sure i will be better to keep better track of all of the other Apple RSS feeds now as i recent downloaded a news reader myself, turning 2.0 is a journey, not a destination. (or at least one i fully understand at this time anyway.)

What can we expect in the near future?

The Thunk Different podcast. Fo’ Sure. i started podcasting in January of last year if you would like to check out some of my old shows, just google “expatpodcast” or go to i have moved over to wordpress since then and am glad to say i am quite happy with them.

thunk mariaWhat is 20weblogs?

20 weblogs is a new 2.0 web community of independent bloggers networking media channel throughout the web. Unlike most other blogging outfits, 20weblogs is not a profit driven collective. If you would like to find out more about them, go to and request an invitation.

WWDC, Whatcha think?!

Oh hell, i don’t know. i think that leopard will (hope) surprise. i have been reading about its architecture on some of the developer blogs and they have some interesting things to say. i personally think that in the next year we will see smaller more energy efficient chips from intel and AMD, touch screen imacs, and a big update to .mac service with iphone integration into the laptops, Apple TV, and more Google apps.

Tell us about the iPhone.

Oh, just read my posts and the links about from two days ago, not hot off the presses, but as current & steamy as anyone else has.

Tell us more!!!

i will, just keep reading and asking questions and i will get back to you personally, i just added jaiku today too, so keep posted by reading one of the hardest things i am working on right now. The Thunk Different. Blog.

For questions 0r contact information please go to the guestbook or email me on facebook, jaiku, gmail, or the RSS reader of your choice below.

FSJ Book Deal

May 18, 2007

Fake Steve Jobs, or affectionately known as FSJ has landed a book deal reportedly worthfsj a cool $75,000.00. You might be familiar with his diaries, or that i continually ask him to put lemon or apple tea in the third floor vending machine to no avail. Anyway, not bad for fake person, i wonder if he will get paid in real dollars… if so, how about them apples?

More News on Fake Steve Jobs

Thoughts on FSJ. (Fake Steve Jobs)

May 14, 2007

fsjFSJ. Or Fake Steve Jobs “they” call him. He is awesome. He may be a better writer than the real Steve Jobs, he is certainly more into what the Flickr people call, interestingness.

Today is his day, top headlines on Google Gmail, Businessweek, the Blogosphere, and ThunkDifferent. FSJ has been known by us few, but today, FSJ is known by many.

For those of you new to, the writing by FSJ is more fun to read than the WSJ, IBD, and MSN combined (haha). i.e. Less content, but more “pizazz!” More of what “they” call simple and beautiful, FSJ is by his own account into such things, ” I love beautiful objects. I love creating them. Negative people upset me. ” -FSJobs. I’m sure there is more to know about him on his profile, and i would read it, but it is after all… Fake. And as Colbert, weekend update, and the history of comedy has proven, Fake is Awesome.

FSJ is the real deal. FSJ is no joke. FSJ’s writing skills are now more powerful than the founder of Sun Microsystems, and that is no laughing matter. I have come across his site a few times, and laughed, but always kind of assumed it was Steve. So the news to me is that it is not Steve, b/c Steve would write a letter to the world as he did with Digital Rights Management DRM.

Changing the world is so Steve Jobs. FSJ is so changing the world. Perhaps they are one in the same.
